Movie Vs Book
Book The book starts with Charlie writing his first letter saying that he is trying his best to understand the world and become like everyone else to fit in. The reader can see his gullible side yet straightforward self in the way he writes the letters to his friend. Throughout the book, Charlie is so innocent. He is an over-thinker and a confused soul but he moves step by step to fit into the world when he meets Sam and Patrick. Charlie gives importance to everyone and puts everyone ahead of himself. Even towards the end of the book, he is still trying to figure of out what is right and what is wrong to fit into the world but then something changes! I love how Charlie bonds with his family in different parts of the book. *read to find out*
Movie I love the movie cause it has the appropriately shown Charlie’s innocence like I imagined it while I read the book. The storyline is altered in a lot of ways and there are a lot of good parts missing from the movie which made the book better but I love the trio! – Charlie, Patrick and Sam and their adventures at the tunnel. I wish it had more of his family and Bill in the movie.
